Chief Technology Officer

Ahmed brings unparalleled expertise in virtual product placement, having pioneered the technology at Amazon Prime Video where he led AI Science & Engineering with over 150 engineers. His innovations have enabled automation at scale across more than 200 countries, managing the world's largest long-form video catalog. A prolific inventor with 40+ patents, Ahmed's contributions to the field were recently recognized with the prestigious IEEE Test-of-Time Award in Visualization and Graphics 2024.

Abdelrahman Mohamed, PhD

Chief Scientist, Head of AI

Abdelrahman is a distinguished AI researcher with more than 100 papers, articles, and patents, whose groundbreaking work has been cited over 72,000 times. Before Rembrand, he led research efforts as a Director of Research at Meta (FAIR), Senior Manager at Amazon, and Researcher at Microsoft Research. He was a member of the pioneering team in Toronto which started the deep learning revolution. Abdelrahman brings exceptional expertise in machine learning and AI. He is a recipient of multiple IEEE Signal Processing Society Test-of-Time awards on 2016 and 2025.

Sameh Khamis, PhD

Director of R&D, Lead Research Scientist

Sameh brings extensive expertise in 3D computer vision and real-time reconstruction. As one of the original developers of Holoportation at Microsoft Research/HoloLens, he created groundbreaking technology for immersive telepresence. His career includes founding perceptiveIO (acquired by Google), serving as AI Tech Lead for AR/VR at Google Pixel where he worked on a real time mobile-first monocular visual-inertial SLAM system, and leading scientific initiatives at NVIDIA's Omniverse research team. Sameh's unique combination of academic excellence and industry experience drives Rembrand's technical innovations in 3D understanding, neural rendering, and generative AI.
